Good place to get help and face your demons
Structure, knowledge, aftercare
Entered long term 01/22/88. Was there for 14 months. Been clean and sober for 29yrs now. Never intended to stay clean when I went in. Figured I just needed to dry out/put down for awhile, and use later. The thought of not using was like telling me I could live without food. Kind of absurd. I can't tell you when or what happened, but I'm still clean and it is one of my fondest memories.
I went to crash approximately 6 months ago. I was treated with little to no respect. Some of the staff were very good but a few were horrible. A certain staff member told me I had to cut my hair cause I looked like a nazi. Im german but in no way a racist or gang member. I ended up leaving cause I was getting worse not better. This program does work for some. I am sober thanks to an aa based treatment program now. Thats just my experience.
The counselors change my life, the way i see myself and addiction. Is a place for change but you have to be willing for it.
