Surprised to see the beat-up couch, the piled-up magazines/papers & clutter. He didn't look at me but at looked at computer when we talked. The 1st two visits went well and it was like talking to an old friend. But the third visit a nightmare. I'd give zero stars if I could. Avoid this guy. I called him Rodney and he interrupted me to say, "Courtney.. courtney.. we are not on a first name basis. You are to call me Dr.Yamaki". So I guess it was cool for him to call me by my first name though. Makes sense, right? He had an attitude all of the time. He has zero compassion. When I was having trouble with insomnia and has a hard time going to school he told my mom that we were moving in the wrong direction when they let me get a job, and although I see his point, he didn’t even wait to see if it would ruin my sleep schedule even more. Instead he ostracized my parents and tried to get my mom to make me quit. However the job I got did help me, and even motivated me to do better and become more responsible. Please keep minors from this doctor. He prescribed psych medication to my 8 year old without having a documented diagnosis of any mental health at all. Then tried to ask me about any diagnosis but when I informed him I would file a malpractice complaint, he immediately discharged my son from his practice leaving my son without any treatment or help. Extremely irresponsible and I would be surprised if he is in business within the next 2-4 months after the state investigates the unlawful prescription.
He no-showed after I was a few minutes late and then threatened to sue me for the no-show fee. One of the worst humans I've ever interacted with.
