Waited sometime for my review. I visited Dr. Fong July 1st 2024 for my first consultation after 3 failed injections with a different provider suffering from a ruptured L5/S1 disc with severe sciatica. Dr. Fong recommended a microdiscectomy which was the most minimally invasive option. 2 Other providers offered me a fusion. I gave him the green light that day he spoke to his staff got all my pre-op done that day and scheduled for surgery July 18th 2024. Super nice guy. Very professional and personable. Answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable
Dr Fong has performed two lower back fusions on me. He did a L4/L5 back in 2/20 and L4/L3 10/22. Both turned out great. One thing I like is Dr Fong His PAC Shannon Haddock will spend the time to go over your options. I was never pressed for him to perform the surgery. That decision was made by myself and my wife. He was always upfront on what I could expect if we didn’t have the surgery. He had me try therapy and a few other options before we decided on the surgery. His PAC Shannon Haddock is a plus as well.
