I am sorry to say that I cannot recommend Dr. Root. I was given medications without being informed of their potential consequences fully. A few side effects were mentioned, but my medical history was never asked for nor taken into consideration. I was not even aware of their neurological function of these meds.In fact, Dr. Root is suspiciously zealous about prescribing them as if he has some kind of agenda other than patient care. I have been associated as a patient with Dr. Walter Root for approximately three years now. He has taken a battered down depressed young man who had little hope or dreams of a decent future and showed me that I am worth as much as anyone else around in the world today . I visited Dr. Root for the first time today. I suffer from severe anxiety. He listed very closely to my issues and he seemed to take great concern in getting me better. I have visited many doctors of his profession over the years and for the first time I felt like a person and not an appointment in his book. It was refreshing. I felt safe under their care. I didn't doubt their motives at all. They have really great customer service here. They always put their customers first, regardless of the situation. Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been months since my last appointment. They are so thoughtful and amazingly sweet, I just love this place. They were so kind and attentive to me. Did this provider use excessive foul language? No Did this provider answer all of your questions? Some were answered Did you have to wait long after you arrived for your appointment? I had to wait for a little while. Does this psychiatrist remember you and your circumstances at every appointment? Not really. I usually have to remind them.
