Dr Fruehe helped me at 60 years old and a history of many hip issues. For the first time in 30 years he has relieved my chronic pain. The staff at emurge ortho is very professional and very kind. As long as I live in Wilmington he will be my orthopedic surgeon He is helping me get back to a life I haven't known for many years

Dr Frueh is a great listener. He asked questions so he clearly understood my medical situation and my expectations going forward. He is an excellent communicator. Dr. Frueh you did a total hip replacement on me in June 2020. Thank you with all my heart for giving me back my quality of life! From the first visit to your office with Andy Culbreth till the day after surgery when I went home I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Dr. Freuh is a fantastic orthopedic surgeon. He did my hip-replacement surgery and it is very successful. I am only a month out from the surgery and I can go on moderately long walks, can mow my lawn and am back driving the car. I am off all pain medications and have minimal discomfort. He told me that should disappear in six to eight weeks. Not everyone will have as quick a recovery as I have had but I think it is miraculous for a 78 year old. I cannot recommend Dr. Freuh highly enough.
Dr.Frueh has followed my arthritic knee and hip for several years. He has recommended PT and my continued yoga routine along with a topical for the knee. He hears my reluctance for cortisone injections and backs off. He willingly discusses procedures and options. I also know a number of his surgery patients. None of them have complaints!
Dr Frueh is a member of the elite group of orthopedic surgeons who are justifiably confident yet never arrogant. He’s not put off by questions and takes time to answer all of them. He replaced my hip 12 years ago after I sought recommendations from people in the medical community. While I no longer live in the Wilmington area, I recently decided to to return to have him replace the other hip. It was the right decision.
Excellent! Dr Frueh-emergortho- was highly recommended to me By a friend. He was friendly, professional and understanding. I was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in both knees and Dr Frueh-emergortho provided a thorough explanation of my options going forward, including knee replacement surgery, but encouraged me to wait until absolutely necessary. I appreciated that he did not rush me to surgery and encouraged me to continue my current exercise activities.
