Better than everyone attitude. Good luck mentioning concerns or health questions. Horrible responses to me as a patient. Best thing I ever did was drive to Sacramento to establish with doctors there. To each his own but if I were you, I'd look elsewhere. Unfortunately the closest alternative is in Sacramento,but it's worth to gas money for extremely better care and communication. Zero stars if could. This is 8 years of dealing with him. Glad I moved on,wish I would have done it much sooner.
If you ask any intelligent questions in regards to your health, Dr Kusumoto will say 'good question' then leave the room without giving you any answers. If you have a procedure and develop problems post procedure, you can't get him or his office to call you back. You are left hanging and not feeling good at all. I'm not sure if it is his poor communication skills or his office help.
I was taken in to Enloe for my device going off several times. I presented all my med Records from past procedures to Dr kuzamoto for his review prior to my procedure he recommended. Upon completion of the procedure I found out he did not do the procedure that my records stated I needed and instead performed a simple ablation within 48 hours of my check in. I had a procedure done to me in the Cardiac catheter lab called an Ablation for persistan Afib. As I awoke in recovery room I felt a severe itching in my lower back (lumbar) area. I told the nurse about this itching and she rolled me over with a sheet and took a look and said there was a large blister at my lumbar area. Dr. Kusumoto, has my respect. After three ablations, two of which I have lived with for over forty years, then Atrial Flutter was the third. He is careful, kind and protective of his patients. My life has changed and I am grateful. Our community is very fortunate to have him.
He is an excellent Doctor. I have been a patient for over 12 years and have had two ablations and several cardioversions. I have so much trust in him and his knowledge. He lets the patient decide what they want to do after he discusses options available, he doesn't pressure you to make a decision. He's a wonderful person and a great cardiologist in my opinion.
Never would I recommend him to any of my loved ones or friends I was diagnosed with svt and was referred to him from another cardiologist he suggested we do an ablation and said it was a high chance of it being done correctly it’s been several months since I’ve had the ablation and frequently without warning I pass out so I called his office drove all the way from Redding to see him emergently and when I arrived he told me he didn’t believe that I was passing out

Dr. Kusumoto is phenomenal!!! Both my daughter and I see him for our devices and device checkups. We are very lucky to have him as our Electrophysiologist. He has placed 2 separate ICD's (defibrillator) for my daughter (age 19) I have had 3 separate pacemakers implanted, Dr. K has done the last 2. He is the sweetest Dr./man and the only Electrophysiologist at this time in the entire North State! we Lucky for us, we live within 20 min drive from his office in Chico, CA EXCELLENT bedside manners
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Kusumoto. He was professional and explained everything in a clear and pleasant manner. He did exactly what he said he would do and was pleased with my outcome (as was I). I would highly recommend him.
