My picky 18 yr old is a hard one to get a Doctor that they like! When they first met him I thought we would be starting over again, but they loved the way he talked to them as the patient and also heard me out, they're not a talker and I do handle the medicine. They're obese and know it, but is very tired of doctors acting as if that's the reason for all their issues and Dr. Ayoub didn't treat them like that nor did he talk down to them like they're a stupid person. We have been their twice and are scheduled for a 3rd visit.
Dr. Ayoub dismissed my worsening symptoms for nearly four years under a “watch and wait” approach based on outdated guidelines. I did not feel listened to or trusted and left my final visit in tears. Another endocrinologist took my condition seriously, referred me for surgery, and my quality of life improved dramatically.
This guy, OMG, I wish I could clone him, he is a great physician. He is compassionate, attentive and responsive. I have been seeing him for many years and have never been disappointed. So caring and professional. I trust him with all my diabetic needs and would not want to go anywhere else!
I sought the advice of Dr. Ayoub for abnormal weight gain and possible thyroid issues. My appointment lasted 20 minutes. Dr. Ayoub checked my thyroid, sent me for bloodwork, and said he’d see me back next year. $300.00 and one blood test later I know my thyroid is normal, but I have no answers for why I continue to gain weight. I don’t feel like my problem was addressed or that the doctor was thorough.
