Dr. Rizk did an outstanding job performing my total knee replacement surgery. He explained the entire procedure and answered any question I had. I'm excited to b able to walk normal without pain again. It's been over 30 years. Dr. Rizk is an awesome orthopedic surgeon.
On,07/03/17, I had my left Knee replacement surgery done by Dr. Rizk at Beaumont Baptist Memorial Hospital located in Beaumont, TX. It is my opinion that Dr. Rizk is a very skilled and talented Orthopedic Surgeon and I feel very fortunate to have such a talented doctor in the Beaumont area. This was my second knee replacement by Dr. Rizk. I had my right knee replacement 5 years ago.
I had been a short distance runner for 25 years and was experiencing left hip pain. After changing exercise routines, physical therapy, medication and an injection into my hip, I began investigating joint replacement. Dr. Wagdy Rizk and I had a serious conversation and it revealed that we exhausted every possible option and joint replacement was the best solution. Surgery was scheduled at Baptist Hospital and after two night I was home. Returned to work in two weeks and have never felt better.
Met him at baptist hospital. I was admitted for possible knee infection. Was pulled down to surgery to discuss options. He asked me what I was there for. Said that I had cellulitis, take oral antibiotics and sent home without looking at any pictures of the knee also said there was no fluid in the knee after he examined It. Went back to the room then CT came and got me did a CAT scan on the knee and it showed pockets of fluids all in the knee. A surgeon should look at pictures before he talks!

Dear Mr. Robert P, I am sorry you found your experience dissatisfying. As your surgery was performed by another surgeon, I was consulted as the orthopedist on call for your knee cellulitis. I examined your knee thoroughly and explained the situation to you and treated you with antibiotics. CT scan is not indicated for a cellulitis diagnosis, especially in the presence of knee replacement as in your case. You gave a poor review of my office & staff, despite you were not seen in my office.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Rizk! At the top of my list would be Dr. Rizk's attention to proactive control of infection. And a close second would be his familiarity with the current advances in orthopedic surgery technology and his selection of which (if any) procedures to use. Coupled with the pretreatment and posttreatment protocols of Baptist Hospital my successful knee replacement surgery was a much easier process than I had anticipated.
