I went to see Dr Guzel for a suspected stress fracture in my hip. He spent well under five minutes in the exam room with me. He didn’t ask me my concerns and even walked out of the room as I was asking him a question. He sent me for an MRI but wasn’t in the office for a week and a half after. He refused to give me my results over the phone. His practice would not allow me to see another doctor. Meanwhile, I’m in incredible pain and wasn’t given instructions beyond “just don’t walk”.
Over the past 5 years, Dr. Guzel has performed meniscus surgery on both my knees and rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder. Each time the results were great, although the rotator cuff surgery took some extensive rehabilitation. However, this rehabilitation process was explained to me prior to surgery, so I knew what to expect. He has been very professional in his approach and makes sure I understand my joint issues and options for correcting the problems.
He had to work with me on several issues from two falls from my horse. The last being a collarbone repair that you can't even see the scar. He pushed me to get out of the wheelchair when I fractured my pelvis and encouraged me to work out and get stronger so I could get back on my horse and compete. I highly recommend him.
I really trust Dr. Guzel!! I had a torn meniscus with arthritis and he performed my surgery, has administered medication for inflammation, and has always taken the time to listen to my concerns. I found him to be very personable and professional. He has an excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend him.
He was called in to repair my wife's broken hip. He was very thorough in his explanation of the injury, the procedure to repair the injury as well as the risk associated with the surgery due to her multitude of medical conditions. He performed without a hitch and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an orthopedic surgeon.
