After waiting 4 months to see a neurologist, Dr, Ylagan was the doctor my son finally saw. He was disinterested and seemed to have already made a decision regarding my son's headaches. He was interrupted by a personal phone call, which he took in the hallway. When he was told that my son can't swallow pills, he told him "Well he's just got to be a big boy and do it." My son is an adult. His condescending attitude was the last straw. I have never been to a doctor who has less regard for others.
I've worked along side doctors for 8+ yrs and I can honestly say that the staff is very rude. I asked for a ROI at the end of the IOV visit just in case our lawyer might need it. the staff checking us out looked at me like I was stupid and commented, "I don't understand why you would even need it" so I had to repeat myself. 2nd OV wasn't any better, the staff who checked us in was rude b/c no1 informed us of the amount due before being seen. AND HIPPA-you can hear patient info when they call.
Dr. Ylagan was the first doctor ever who took my symptoms seriously. He had already read my file before I arrived. He dropped everything to call other specialists and order tests STAT when even the ER doctors would only give me IV fluids (just to give an idea of the difference in how my complaints were being treated medically). Turned out I had a rare and life threatening condition. I'd rather go to his office than any ER or hospital.
Dr. Ylagan is the most unprofessional, mean, and careless neurologist i have encountered. I would rather have a 12 year old child as my doctor, I'm sure they would pay more attention to me and actually care about my medical issues. Again, most unprofessional and rude doctor.. I would not recommend to anyone.
Ylagan's office staff attempt to collect a co-pay from me that I did not owe. I got my insurance company on the phone to verify my position was correct. Ylagan refused to see me or speak with my insurance company. I have never had such an awful experience with a doctor or been refused service because of their refusal to contact my insurance company. Ylagan should go out of business or learn to run it properly. And his waiting room smells like feces.
Unfortunately our experience was deplorable. The office staff is rude as well as the physician himself. I have never been treated in such an unprofessional and rude manner. I would not recommend this physician to a peer or patient. Very disappointed.
Doesn't Care / Find Another DR! I rarely write reviews so will keep it short, I should have went with my gut when I saw how disorganized and disheveled his appearance and his desk was. For an initial appointment he seemed to breeze right through my medical history and honestly seemed "bored" and "uninterested". I reached out to him twice via phone to inquire about a few health questions and didn't get a single call back. The posts are correct, this is a probably one of the top 3 worst physician
Excellent and compassionate doctor and staff.
I completely agree with the review from March 2016. This doctor was not only unprofessional, disrespectful and rude but was totally disinterested and completely uncaring. I highly question his level of knowledge and qualifications. In addition, his poor attitude and behavior has transferred to his staff.
