She wasn’t my doctor, she filled in for my doctor bc I went into labor while he was out of town. I was already giving birth she comes in and was so harsh and disrespectful - she told me at one point “screaming louder doesn’t make the baby come faster.” That’s a disgusting thing to say to a woman giving birth. She never communicated to me what was going on like how she had to cut me and the baby was up instead of down. I had a terrible experience with Dr. Steen. A resident started my c-section before Dr. Steen came into the operating room. She spent the entire time talking to the resident about their plans for the weekend. She never greeted or looked at me. She didn’t say anything when my son was born. She left while the resident was closing and still didn’t say anything. For my first checkup after the c-section, I wasn’t permitted to drive. So my husband drove and we had our son with us. I have been suffering with hormone issues for years. Every doctor I would see just brushed all my symptoms off and blamed it on something else. A friend recommended Dr. Steen to me and I made an appointment. Not only did she listen to me she validated every symptom I had and assured me I was not going crazy. It took a few weeks but I feel amazing and I have my life back! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!
I had to switch to her halfway through my pregnancy due to moving and she made the whole experience wonderful! She’s very busy obviously but took the time to answer all my questions and walked me through everything! Love her!
Dr. Steen Has Delivered all three of my babies by C-section. It was not our original plan to have a C-section, but We learned that I was unable to have a safe vaginal delivery due to a uterine abnormality. She was very good at walking me through everything, and explaining how delivery would go. She checked on me frequently in the hospital and once we went home. I cannot thank Her and her staff enough!
I love Dr. Steen and her nurses. They have been with me through every stage of life and now helping me get my hormones in balance. If you look up any OBGYN in this area your going to find mixed 50/50 reviews about being rushed, lack of care from doctor, long wait time etc. However you have to take into account while your complaining about long wait times, shes in the back giving someone life altering news, or has an emergency delivery, or is helping another women with a hard situation. Dr. Steen delivered my son via c-section. The doctor who assisted her started the surgery. Dr. Steen came in after the other doctor had cut me open. She didn’t speak to me. She spent the entire surgery discussing weekend plans with the other doctor. She didn’t say anything to me after she delivered my son; she just left. I will never go to her again.
Dr.Steen is incredibly knowledgeable on all of my issues. She takes time to explain any treatments or suggestions, unlike most others. I’d recommend her to anyone.
