I have been with Valerie Duerr ever since I have been just a kid. This Dr. office has went WAY DOWN HILL since then. The staff is rude. She does not want to take any time with you or talk to you. She is not a pill pusher but she also doesn't investigate any issues. I mentioned depression and anxiety to her and she treated me like I was a druggy and gave me attitude but still wrote me a script for some sort of pill in which I rejected. I had been a patient of dr. duerr since I was a teenager, I am now 25. We had a long-standing verbal referral agreement so I could see my ENT specialist at UM-Ann Arbor. When I made an appointment with him for a severe ear infection she refused to grant the referral and when I went anyway and he ordered a CT scan for a found tumor, she refused again. I could not afford to pay. I asked her if it was about money, she got angry and discharged me as a patient. I am now trying to find another physician.
She is prompt and is not a pill-pusher type. Takes her time with you and always answers questions. The only downfall is I wish she would call back with test results instead of making you call in to get them.
When my husband asked Dr. Duerr about test she had ordered for me to have done she said that he was questioning her ability and did not trust her so she would no longer be his physician. I had signed a form giving my husband the right to know about anything concerning my health. After that my husband had gone to meet another physician but did not care for him so we continued to look.
