My husband went in for standard achillis tendon surgery and almost lost his foot. Dr. Muir required the original bandage from the surgery to be left on for 2 weeks. We called multiple times due to pain and were blown off. When the bandage was removed the surgical incision was black. It had significant necrosis and infection. We ended up having other Doctors solve the mess he made. On top of the terrible surgery, every visit to Dr. Muir's office consisted of at least an hour wait. I highly recommend staying far away from him.

Was x-rayed & diagnosed by an insta care doctor with a fractured fibula and that it was fairly minor and would heal on it's own in a few months and I just needed to wear a boot. Came to Dr. Muir's office a couple of days later. His office took their own x-rays and he strongly advised immediate surgery to put in a screw & plate as he thought there was severe misalignment. He said the surgery would require me to be on bedrest for a solid two weeks, with several weeks of healing after that yet he'd only signed off for 3 weeks o... read more

Dr. Muir is an amazing and talented surgeon. My ankle/heel was a mess, extreme arthritis and damaged cartilage. I had been in a lot of pain for a long time. Dr. Muir did an awesome job getting rid of the arthritis, repairing the cartilage, and a subtalar fusion. 4 years later, my ankle is still doing awesome! I highly recommend Dr. Muir for any ankle/foot concerns.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We will be sure to pass your comments along to Dr. Muir and the team.

Dr Muir is nothing short of amazing. I couldn't imagine having a better experience, given the circumstances I was dealt. He and his staff are caring, compassionate and very skilled at what they do. I never once felt rushed during an appt, always knew exactly what was going on with my conditon and what to expect and actually enjoyed going to see him. I'm almost sad he got me back to normal so that I don't have to see him anymore!

I broke my ankle in several places on a Tuesday. He was able to get an appointment to see him on Friday and we had the surgery scheduled for Tuesday. I was pleased that we were able to get it done so quickly. His assistant in his office was wonderful. She fitted me for a boot and was so gentle and caring. Dr. Muir is just wonderful, and he promptly returned my after-hours call, personally. I can't say enough good about him or his staff. The staff at Jordan Valley was equally wonderful.

Dr. Muir was awesome. He did my 3rd ankle surgery (Dr. Beck did the first 2, with reconstruction). Dr. Muir explained all options clearly, made surgical recommendations and discussed what options were not recommended. His staff was friendly and helpful. As a patient, I never felt that he rushed our exam/consult time together. Unfortunately, this is evident in the wait time. But, I'd rather wait an hour for my scheduled appointment than be rushed through that appointment. I highly recommend him.

He may be good, but his staff are rude and you can expect wait times in excess of an hour. They stack their clients like chord wood. His office, nor he return calls. Seems like a nice guy, but this is the last time I go to him.
