I was all set to go with this seemingly compassionate and leading doctor and last minute he pulled out of scheduled surgery. It was unbelievably upsetting to learn this at my preop appointment- with no heads up that things were falling apart. I was in shock and had traveled far to choose him. He faulted the Hospital. He did make a good referral however to a talented surgeon at Cedars-Sinai. It was a very big let down to say the least.

Dr Garabekyan exhibits exactly what you would hope for when choosing a surgeon. I had an extremely major hip surgery, PAO, along with a hip arthroscopy, and I couldn't have felt like I was in better hands. I trusted him completely, he was always assessable, he ALWAYS took his time with me, and always answered any questions. His staff (especially Zohra) are top notch! My surgery went amazing and I can't thank him enough for my incredible outcome and just being an overall amazing doctor.

Abuses patients trust. Gets them addicted to Delaudid and Morphine. Surgery was an absolute nightmare. Over corrected. Now will have to have hip replacement at age 25

Updated: Dr. Garabekyan was the only surgeon willing to take a complicated case. But, performed a bilateral hip scope knowing it would fail and I'd need a DFO on each hip. well it failed! Flew 2500 miles for bilateral hip scopes, labrum repair. 8 hr surgery at Cedars-sinai June 5, 2018. Notnto mention him showing up at my airbnbs, late night calls, and countless scripts of heavy pain meds and muscle relaxers. He has threaten me with silence and LAPD. Won't be silenced. I'm a victim #metoo

I saw when he was a resident in wv, and he also assisted during my ankle surgery. His work is good. However, he was rude, has no bedside manner and made a medication error

I cannot say enough about the EXCELLENT care I received as a paitient of Dr. Garbekeyan. Following knee surgery and lack of proper discharge instructions from the outpatient facility, I suffered unbelievable pain leaving me temporarily immobile. Since I was unable to ambulate, Dr. Garbekeyan came to my house to attend to me. He realized the degree of pain I was in and was at my door within a short space of time, without any hesitation. HIGHEST BEDSIDE MANNER AND CARING DOC. Thank you kind Sir!

Dr. Garabekyan preformed my second hip surgery. This was after being very conservative and trying different treatments. He was excellent. There was hardly no pain, no scare, and he resolved my hip issues. He did an excellent job. He had great bedside manner at the hospital as I freaked out before hand and he was very calming. He is never late, right on time and his office staff is great.

My new Ortho... (traveled from Idaho) I am a very "active" grandma of seven... It wasn't until after vetting four different Ortho's that I choose Dr. Garabekyan. I had bi-lateral Labral tears in hips and was in a lot of constant pain. I went to the "best" hip surgeons in LA and Beverly Hills. I left their offices feeling discouraged and not very confident. I sought out Dr. Garabekyan for his Arthroscopic Labral repair techniques (no perineal post) 100% of Pre-surgery pain is gone!

Took time to explain everything about hip replacement. Made me feel very comfortable. A very caring Doctor and a very nice person. Would definitely recommend him.
