I had a tooth that had gone dead and needed to be extracted. I had braces as a teenager and apparently you can radically change the shape of your teeth. Visibily, it looked normal but the root had grown into a horizontal shaped fish hook. Often these fragment and have to be coaxed out. I ended up going to Dr. Thomas Ying at Manhattan Beach Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, even though he was not "in-network," because I unfortunately had a terrible experience with the ethically questionable practices of Dr. Benjamin Yagoubian at Torrance Oral Surgery Center. When I first called Dr. Ying's office I spoke with office assistant "Merlin" who was transparent and provided the general prices of the treatment services I needed. Dr Ying and his staff are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to anyone needing oral or maxilla facial surgery.

Highly recommend Dr. Ying! My husband got all four wisdom teeth out. We didn’t get a referral from our Dentist so went online and found such great reviews about him. He is efficient, extremely thorough, and his practice and staff are phenomenal. They take such great care and give you so much info post operation to make recovery smooth. Dr. Ying even called us the day of the surgery after my husband was home to follow up and make sure everything was okay.

I went to see him with several teeth problems in previous years including teeth removal, bone graft and implant. Also, my daughter has been seen by him (removal of wisdom teeth) as well. This is an excellent place with people who you can trust. I highly recommend them! The staffing is excellent, too.
