Went in due to recommendation my gynecologist made that I get my thyroid checked. I also wanted to get a comprehensive blood test done since it has been a while. The doctor rushed through and saw I had insomnia and depression, yet made no referrals for tests or therapy. He didn’t want me to get a comprehensive blood test, only cholesterol. He kept trying to talk me out of him referring me for tests. He didn’t seem to care much about what I was there for. I was not at all impressed. Won’t be going to him again.
I changed my coverage from Kaiser to HMSA and chose Dr. Weiner based on reviews here and elsewhere. From the first contact to schedule an appointment to the follow-up, everything was first rate. The staff were friendly and quite competent at setting me up as a new patient and getting my first appointment. Check-in at the office was a breeze, both in terms of the receptionist and the very nice nurse who took my vitals. I carry a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. When I attempted to give Mr Weiner feedback regarding my care he interrupted to bark that he didn't have time to listen to me rant.
Dr Weiner has been our family physician for 3+ years. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, and follows through to check on your status. The Practice has a portal that works well and that the doctors use to respond to questions from patients the same day. Outstanding practice !
Throughout my childrens life I have lost most trust in medical professionals. Dr. Weiner is the only person in town that I trust. He is compassionate, educated and understanding. While we don't always agree he respects my opinion as a parent or patient. I feel as if too many of today's doctors lack the ability to listen to their patients which is crucial to care. I can not say enough good things about this practice and will continue to refer everyone who will listen.
