First time meeting Dr Umbach and I have never felt this comfortable with any doctor that I just met. He actually listened to what I had to say. He's willing to help me when no other doctor has been willing. I actually cried when I left his office because all I could think about was I'm not going to hurt anymore. The staff in the front and the back make you feel so welcomed there.

They don't even provide a seminar! seminars R free of charge by other Bariatric surgeons! One of the surgeons isn't even board certified! Before I knew it an inpatient nurse drew blood from me and took another test without any explanation! Only in the end you get a "consultation" by a surgeon that doesn't even explain what to expect before/after the surgery!! The Surgery is in "out patient" facility rather than in a hospital! I don't trust any reply to this review by the doctor! Not recommended!

Hi Keren: We always welcome feedback to improve our clients' experiences. We do offer a free seminar for new patients every other month, we also have an insurance seminar for those who has specific insurance questions. On a consultation day, we run various tests and screening to determine the best procedure and route for you; health-wise and financially which is explained when you make a consultation. Many of our clients choose to go to our state of the art surgery center on an outpatient basis.
I had LapBand surgery 13 years ago and have had tremendous success with it; however, my surgeon isn't in my state and have had various and multiple issues finding GOOD post op care until now. They are not just good they are EXCELLENT! From the front desk to the Doctors. No judgements whatsoever. Very compassionate, kind and experienced. I can't say enough nice things about them and my only wish is that I had found them sooner. They are angels!

So happy to find Dr. Umbach. I came up from San Jose to meet him and decided on the gastric bypass. I was 330 lbs and had all kinds of health problems. diabetes, high blood pressure and so much more even had to have both knees replaced because of the weight. I had my gastric bypass in October 2013 and it was the best thing I ever did. I am now 130 lbs and go well in every respect. I consider the doctor that saved my life is Dr. Umbach. Thank you again

Became a Patient Of Dr Umbach in August of 2015. Had my Sleeve Surgery Dec 29th and as of this posting i am down 30 pounds.. Great Staff. Have not meet anyone there that I have Not taken a immediate liking of. Everyone is helpful and will go out of there way to make sure things are right. Surgery went well and recovery pain was less than expected and only lasted 2 days.I have and Will recommend Blossom Bariatrics to anyone.
