Reading news reviews has me question what these people actually wanted done. When you do see Dr Hines do expect to spend an hour with him and the reason is Dr Heinz wants to ensure that you are taking care of. He is not like any physician in Amarillo that will rush you in and rush you out and throw medicine down your throat. Dr Hines is extremely nice and will explain anything you may have questions about. BUT he doesnt actually try to find a cause. I went in for stomach pain, he told me (before even checking me) it was IBS. No labs..testing..nothing. Went to another doctor who ran labs on me. Come to find out i had a very bad case of H pylori. He is nice and listens.. but none of that matters if he isnt searching for the cause of your issue.
I specifically asked to get a strep test done. I let him know my wife tested positive for strep earlier that day. He kept refusing to test me, after back and forth he agrees to look for stripes to test. Come to find out he doesnt even have the testing supplies!!! He knew he didnt have the supplies to begin with. Him and his nurse stated strep wasn't contagious, a quick google search would say other wise.
Dr. Hines and his staff are awesome! I was able to get an appointment quickly. The office wait was not long at all. Dr. Hines took the time to listen to me, answer all of my questions, and explain things to me. He addressed additional health issues I have as well. I felt comfortable the entire time & doctors usually make me feel nervous or inferior. Thank-you, to Dr. Randy, Robin & Tiffany!!
