Although Dr. Kleeman has a reputation for being very direct, if you are in bad enough shape to need his expertise, toughen up an listen up. This man gave me my life back. I now have 10 pieces of titanium in my lower back and feel better that I have in years. He challenged me and said that he wouldn't do the extremely complicated 2 level fusion unless I promised to commit to the rehab and lifestyle changes necessary to be successful. Horrible. This doctor treated my herniated disc like it was a wart that needed a "simple" procedure. He spoke of surgery, with a 6-week recovery time, like it was no big deal. It was a big deal to me, and I asked if there were other less invasive options. He THEN told me that regardless of whether or not I had surgery, the outcome in 6 months time would probably be the same! So, why would I have surgery? Because it was easy? I would not send my dog to this guy. He was an hour late for the appointment and then gave me 8 minutes. He got up and walked out of the office in the middle of a question.He stated that there was nothing that he could do for me.I found another doctor who has since cured me and is following my progress. Get out now and don't waste your time!!
very direct and straight forward guy,loved it didn't pull any punches.Told me exactly what would happen with symptoms before surgery and after,and he was spot on.I had a piece of herniated disc removed almost two weeks ago, and was told thier were no limitations on walking.When I first started walking it hurt alot but after about the third day I started walking three to five miles a day, and feel great, no regrets here.In my opinion he's a great doctor just do what he tells you. I found him to be arrogant and verbally abusive because I was on pain meds. Basically said I was lazy, "how does it feel to stay home and do nothing all day and take drugs". Real compassionate man, he says this to someone with 3 herniated discs, burning in my thigh and pain shooting down my leg into my foot. and taking antidepressants. I was going to file a complaint to the medical board but my inlaws insisted I didn't because they feared mI would get black listed, though I seriously dought it.
After years of painful back problems Dr. Kleeman found the problem when no one else could. I am very thankful I found him, he gave me my life back.
Dr. Kleeman is by far a brilliant doctor. He gives it 150% when he enters the OR, is a highly qualified, skilled perfectionist who really knows what he is doing and it's obvious he takes pride in the work he performs. Six weeks after Laparoscopic Anterior Interbody and Posterior Lumbar Fusion, I am able to hold my core,(w/o hurting,) stand tall, and walk normal. I felt like this was Dr. House from TV. Did not like at all. Dr. wouldn't address my questions and asked me what I needed. He's the doctor and I was there for him to tell me what was wrong!!I'm going somewhere else for a 2nd opinion!!
