Cancelled follow up appt after TIA in hospital . Needed to find a concerned neurologist
The people running her office are incompetent. My mom was referred to Dr. Casanova and her office said we would have to wait 2 weeks for an appointment and that would only even be for the nurse practitioner. My mom was told by the hospital to see the doctor within the week. We told her office in that moment that she needed to be seen by the doctor and by the end of the week they refused. Then when she got to her appointment (2 weeks later) they told her she had the wrong kind of appointment.
She carefully listened my concerns and made me fully understand condition. After diagnostic carefully explained the proper protocol. I felt really cared for and subsequently improved following her instructions. Thanks for having such a great doctor! I have already recommended her to several family members and friends.
Dismissive of family or caregivers input of what happened with a stroke like medical problem. Blamed one medication on symptoms and stated it was not a TIA. Another medical doctor stated it was TIA and not related to medication Probably and excellent doctor but was not interested in family input which other doctors found helpful for complete picture. This was in a hospital room setting not an office setting.
