I had a spinal laminectamy on sept 8/25. I flew back to Texas on 9/14/25. I left the hospital the day after the surgery. It is now 9/25/25 and I feel terrific. Dr k did an incredible job. I must also mention that he has a wonderful bedside manner and he cares deeply for his patients. I flew to nj to have this surgery because I had the upmost confidence in dr karakonda. I went to see Dr. Karukonda in 2023 with severe sciatica pain on left side down to my toes. He explained the surgery I should consider. Of course, I was scared and said I would try everything else except surgery. I did P/T, acupuncture, cortisone shots, tens machine, pain meds, 3 epidural shots, nerve blockers and nerve ablation. I had my spine surgery one year ago. I only stayed home from work for two weeks. Dr. Karukonda did an amazing job. I would highly recommend him to you.
After 6 weeks, my wife can now move around without pain. My wife had a lumbar fusion by Dr. Karukonda six weeks ago at Holy Name Hospital. Prior to the surgery, my wife and I were very skeptical about the procedure. Dr. K was speaking to us as if this operation was going to take away the pain that she was suffering from for about 18 months. I highly recommend Dr. Teja Karukonda. He is an extremely talented surgeon who has an incredible skill for explaining exactly what is happening to your spine in a clear and concise manner. He also listens! I'm six weeks out of major spine surgery & am extremely happy with my progress.
