Dr. Brown was nice and professional. However, I had a mole excision performed by her on my back, but my stitches broke open despite being extremely careful. She restitched it, yet they broke again, forcing me to heal with an open wound. I could blame poor stitch work, but I will give her the benefit of the doubt. During this process, my wound became infected, and she prescribed an antibiotic that I was not supposed to take because I was on Accutane. She knew I was on Accutane, but it "slipped her mind". I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Brown! My hairstylist recommended her to me. I went in for concerns about my scalp, and from the start, the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. The dermatologist really took the time to listen to my concerns, explain what might be going on, and walk me through the treatment options. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I would. I took my son in who was suffering with a painful cyst that had ruptured. Not only was she rude, she would she not culture the obvious infection, she would not relieve his pain by draining the cyst, and then she prescribed the wrong antibiotic. I had to find another physician who was able to compassionately and competently handle the situation and to fix her errors.
All of my visits with Dr. Tamu Brown have been positive, professional and beneficial.
