I have been seeing a therapist for 6 weeks and was referred to Dr. Reddy to discuss medications. She sat behind her computer took notes and decided on a prescription with very little interaction. She was not interested in what the therapist had diagnosed. She took just a few minutes to decide on the prescriptions. She took no time whatsoever to get to know me and my situation. My impression is that she was almost hostile. Very disappointing. Her description of a holistic approach is bologna.
Dr. Reddy was fantastic. The front desk staff was friendly and helped me when I was lost on way to appointment. The office is private and very comfortable. Dr. Reddy's office feels like what a doctor's office should look like, lots of wood, books, comfortable furniture. She really listened and then summarized my issues to make sure she had gotten all of my concerns. She was able to help me with my depression and I really trust her judgement.
Wanted to transfer from another doctor to one closer to home. She refused to take me as a patient as I did not want to take antipsychotic medication (one the previous doctor prescribed is $1,000 for a 30 day supply). I had letter from therapist backing my decision not to take antipsychotic, and of course have my family support. I am not experiencing psychosis. I have no hospilization. No jail. No history of violence. Am doing fine on lexapro alone. She was nasty about it. I left. There u go.
