While It may be standard practice to have a a cystoscopy (a scope w/camera through the urethra) without anesthesia if I were you I would flat out refuse one without it. It is VERY painful and UNBEARABLE!! I was "numbed" but that did absolutely nothing! I do like the Dr. and the staff, they put up with my anxiety and tried to comfort me but word to the wise don't have this procedure without anesthesia. I would have liked to have been protected from this pain as it did the opposite of easing the anxiety and trust issues I expe... read more
