If you are prescribed an oral appliance for sleep apnea, find another provider! Saw Dr Wilk for approximately 15 minutes after 10 visits. The rest was poorly trained dental assistants who didn’t explain well and weren’t friendly. And when the appliance caused pain when wearing, Dr Wilk was rude and unprofessional. Money down the drain and into his pocket.
The worst medical / dental care I have ever received. Once my appliance came the dentist didn’t even check to make sure it was functioning properly. When I told him the appliance wasn’t working he said I would have to pay $150 just for him to look at it. Overall I paid $2000 for a non functioning appliance that the dentist didn’t even look at or check and was not willing to do so unless I paid him extra. This office is a scam and just looking to take your money.
I tried an appliance that he made to help with my sleep apnea. It cost a fortune and didn't work. I think he's probably a decent dentist, but some things in his office leave a lot to be desired. For instance, I often had to wait quite a while.
Left a little to be desired. Make sure they check the insurance coverage before you make an appointment. Gave 2 stars because the first appliance visit went reasonably well, after a couple of years when the appliance started to wear out, scheduled appointments to repair appliance. Insurance information was provided to them prior to the office visit. I was completely satisfied with the professionalism and work of Dr. Wilk and his staff. My husband is very happy that I no longer wake and worry him with my sleep apnea. The appliance Dr. Wilk recommended works very well, even after a year of nightly use. I just had my first annual checkup and the appliance still fits perfectly and is in excellent condition.
Dr. Wilk and his staff are very professional and "cutting edge" in their field. My examination was more thorough than any I had had before, and the care I received was excellent. In addition to regular dental work, I had veneers done. They have changed my smile, whitened my teeth, and greatly improved my self-confidence. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for exceptional dental care.
Don't waste your time and money. Sells you a $2800 appliance (insurance covers maybe 1/3), then advises you it may or may not work. They don't stand by their product. When the wonder appliance broke within warranty, they still charge you an office visit to bring it into them to get it fixed. So now I have a $2900 appliance that doesn't work.
I was using a CPAP machine( which was very cumbersome ), until I visited Dr. Wilk two years ago, he fit me with a mouth appliance to substitute the CPAP machine. I was very skeptical at the beginning but it worked great with no discomfort, now I sleep and feel better, and when I travel I just take a small mouth guard case, so much more convenient. Dr. Wilk saw me for my TMJ issues. I was having really bad migraines, and neck pain. He was so kind and caring. He helped me fix the issues I was having. On my really bad days he gave me injections that made me feel like a whole new person. After he fixed my TMJ I started seeing him for my dental treatment the work that he has done on my mouth is amazing. I had some crown and veneers done on my upper teeth I love my smile. I would recommend Dr. Wilk to anyone!!! L
