Dry. Eye journey It has been one year since I developed this horrible dry eye disease. This has been a journey I wouldn't ask anyone to endure. Ocular Reconstruction and Eyelid Probing Dr. Steven Maskin performed surgery on both of my eyes reconstructing the ocular surface using amniotic membranes to smooth the surface pleats and gently removed scar tissue. This improved the tears to stay across the eyes and prevented the distribution to the outer corners. Dr. Maskin developed the eyelid probing and opened the follicles at the base of the eyelashes and uses an expressor tool to release the mucin in the glands. Two Thumbs Up! I would recommend Dr. Maskin to anyone. Why, because two years ago I had sever pain from blisters on the cornea of my right eye. Dr. Maskin operated on my eye and for two years I have been pain free. Dr. Maskin is very serious yet has a humorious side as well. He definitely gets two thumbs up from me!

The Only Ophthalmologist I would Consider for Eye Care I've been a patient of Dr. Steven Maskin for 14 years and highly recommend him to anyone in need of ophthalmologic care. I was diagnosed with a disease of cornea called Keratoconus at the age of 16 in both eyes. Dr. Maskin gave me back my life. I was in so much pain I couldn't live a normal life. I was wearing 2 pairs of sunglasses to even tolerate light. I wasn't able to walk outside without following my husband's feet. I was living in my home with all the blinds shut and as few lights on as possible. My eyes were gritty , sore and tired.
