TRULY EXCEPTIONAL!! I became a patient of Dr Maskin early December 2019. I am not a person that is quick to write a review as I like a wait and see approach before I make a judgement. During the past 4 years I have seen at least 7 different ophthalmologists/optometrists , no one could properly diagnose me. After I had laser surgery I had multiple problems with my eye including severe dry eye. After going to 4 different opthalmologists in the same clinic, I was still having a lot of irritation, redness, scratchiness, etc in both eyes. In desperation I started searching dry eye specialists on the internet and found Dr. Maskin. He quickly pinpointed my problems and gave me a treatment plan. I had a staph infection, eye mites and conjunctivochalasis. My eyes now feel great!!
After seeing multiple doctors in multiple states for my dry eye. Dr. Maskin is the only doctor that has been able to provide any relief. He is diligent in getting to the cause of the dry eye and solving the problem, not just prescribing eye drops like most opthamologists. He also seems to take a personal interest in his patients and advancing the treatment of dry eye. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering from dry eye.
Suffering from Chronic Dry Eye Disease for the past two years found me circling through a revolving door of Ophthalmologists and Optometrists only to find disappointing treatments and in some cases a lack of concern for both the physical and emotional distress I experienced daily as a result of the painful condition which plagued my eyes. Finding relief for dry eye Dr. Maskin treated my dry eye disorder in April and May of 2014. I found him on line after my frustrating experiences with a cascade of local physicians. Ocular Reconstruction and Eyelid Probing Dr. Steven Maskin performed surgery on both of my eyes reconstructing the ocular surface using amniotic membranes to smooth the surface pleats and gently removed scar tissue. This improved the tears to stay across the eyes and prevented the distribution to the outer corners.
