I called DO Moreno (not an MD) for an appointment and was told he "was not accepting medicare patients. I have the best medicare policy including united Health Care insurance. I am an ex ER and OR nurse and find it appalling that a "DO "would treat a potential patient like this. In view of this, I would not recommend him.
I am a medical student and recently went to see Dr. Moreno after exposure to poison ivy. I found him approachable, considerate, and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend him.

I attempted to ask a question about skin care. Before I got even half the question out, he cut me off and told me I would have to make a separate appointment as that would be considered cosmetic. That my insurance wouldn't cover it and he would have to charge me out of pocket to answer my question. This is without him knowing what my question was! Since when is skin care not part of dermatology? He spent about 5 minutes with me and was out the door.
