Well known lyme doctor in Wisconsin, which I did not know when I went there for help with Fibromyalgia/Hypothyroid issues. Recommended a lyme test, and I was positive. 28 months later, after many rounds of antibiotics and hundreds of dollars in supplements, and cleanses, I was no better. Left his practice in frustration, and found out later I had 2 brain tumors. I question whether or not I really had lyme disease.
My husband and I had chronic lyme disease. After seeing 7 doctors, Dr. Meress is the only doctor who didn't want to put me on steriods, an anti-depressant or place me under the knife. Most of my symtoms are gone, but I'm dealing with lyme "side-effects" affecting several organs. My husband is better, but continues to see Dr. Meress for overall health and well-being.
went for a Lyme test and 20 plus labs later and $1000's in rejected claims I feel far worse then when I came to the doctor.
Dr. Meress is an excellent doctor. He provides a comprehensive health care plan for each of his patients and takes time to listen and diagnose the problem. Being sick isnt cheap, nobody said it was. His charges are reasonable and are no greater than any other alternative doctors out there. Insurance doesn't cover any of the lab work or visits to this doctor so beware. He will put you on a BUNCH of herbal pills that will cost A LOT. Nothing he did helped me and I wasted a lot of time traveling to see him and a lot of money. He will give you a "diagnosis" and throw out a bunch of medical terms and give you a bunch of pills but don't expect any real improvement of you health! It is a money scam if you ask me.
We need all the lyme's disease doctor's that we can get right now here in Wisconsin. I went to this doctor for three years and spent alot of $$$. I'm still not getting any better. After all that money, and all those tests and treatments I started wondering "even though the doctor and his staff are very helpful and pleasant, am I getting taken to the cleaners here?" very regimented...don't disagree or you'll get the boot! Very expensive and non supportive if you develope a problem.
