I selected Dr. Locke based on his very impressive credentials. My entire evaluation process was very comprehensive. He had a detailed intake survey and spent a significant amount of time speaking with me and evaluating my medical records. I appreciated how he did not rely heavily on the diagnoses of other doctors but used them simply as guidelines in which to focus his conversations with me. He is very easy to talk to and has a kindness to him that I appreciated very much. I highly recommend him.
Not a great experience for me personally. I found working with a neurologist and a primary care physician more healing both physically and psychologically.
Not a good psychiatrist. Anyone who calls themselves "integrative" in medical circles needs to be more closely supervised by a physician that actually follows clinical best practices. I can't imagine how many patients in the MetroWest area that Dr Locke may be harming, or delaying the effective medical care of, with his "nutraceutical" polypharmacy approaches that are not FDA approved.
Very knowledgeable, nice manner, up-to-date
I was at the lowest point in my life, in a crisis situation and no other psychiatrist could see me for a month and I knew I needed immediate help. In desperation I called Dr. Locke and he wasn't accepting new patients, but he heard the distress in my voice and said that he would see me the following week. Other therapists never checked my blood pressure and weight or kept such precise records. Now that I'm on the proper medications, combined with his compassion and expertise, I'm becoming me
Good as it gets, working with this gentleman. Has read all the new, germane research, focuses on solutions and patient’s self-evaluation, notes/tracks progress to eminently-logical benchmarks, has the regulations doen cold, even handles paperwork extra-efficiently. Likable, etical, accomplished, and most importantly, is as excellent a listener as he is a diagnostician.
Dr. Locke is a great psychiatrist. He is an excellent listener and he goes above and beyond to help you. He is insightful and knowledgeable and helps you to think things through in a healthy manner. I recommend him highly.
I have become a recent patient of Dr. Locke, I had medication management and it has helped improve in a month . He also suggests joining groups to talk to others , or counseling , I like that he gave other alternatives besides just meds. I have severe anxiety and depression , and with his help I feel I am on my way to a better me, in controlling it better than I have since the early 1990's. Thanks Dr Locke
Dr. Locke answers my questions thoroughly with helpful explanations. He is attentive to past record, progress and current needs. His style is casual and comfortable while being very professional. He offers sources for additional education or sources for help. He pays attention to my other health issues.
