One of the most compassionate and caring physicians I have ever worked with. With my 25 years of experience, this doctor is one of the best diagnosticians and, when it comes to a true emergencies, best ER physicians. Although he may not be a fuzzy bear at bedside and come across a bit abrupt, he will always do what is best for the patient. I would trust him with my life and the lives of my family.

I have a port due to chronic dehydration, Dysautonomia, Ehlers-Danlos, Epilepsy and more. The nurses were great! Dr. Avezzano was the absolute worst! I went in for possible port blockage, dehydration (had not been about to hydrate for 4 days), and possible infection because I had the chills (which is rare for me!). He did not even give me fluids! Added that I’m having stomach pain as well. This prick came and introduced himself, as me what I wanted him to do. Said I can give you pain meds and that my pain had nothing to do with ulcerative colitis or anything else. He never said anything about... read more

Has to be the worst ER doctor I have ever seen. Asked me where I was hurting at? I said mainly my lower back. He ask for a urine sample. Later he comes in and states your kidneys are fine you can go home. Then I asked what about my belly pain, he said what belly pain? I asked him didn't you read my chart? Nope. Later he is back telling me we can do lab, but you will be here at least another 2 hours, do you want them or do you want to go home. I think OMG. I said do the labs. Hours later he is back, you have acute pancreatiti... read more
