The check-in receptionist and the medical tech that came into my room pre-doctor were the best part of my visit, very thorough and friendly. The dr. talked very fast and non-stop and would hardly let me speak. Never asked me if I had any questions and seemed completely dismissive of anything I had to say. My wife had a serious wrist fracture needing surgery, and was lucky to get an appointment on Thursday with Dr. OConnell, who had come highly recommended. After meeting with Dr. OConnell he told us he was completely booked, but said he would come in on Friday his day off to do the procedure. On Friday when it came time for the surgery a complication occurred which prevented the operation. I haven’t had surgery yet so my experience with Dr O’Connell was only an office visit. It was good and I felt comfortable using him as my surgeon. My experience with his scheduling person is awful. She never answers the phone and returns calls days later. There is no direct number to the office. I am just looking for information for what I’m supposed to before surgery and what to expect after surgery. It shouldn’t be that difficult to talk to someone without having to complain to Desert Oasis
This is the worst place I’ve ever go to I wouldn’t go there if I was dying anymore they call me Up tell me I’m eligible through my VA I get down here wait and wait and then these M-F tell me that they don’t take the VA anymore all veterans should boycott this place and any doctors that practice is out of here
I am a 62 yo female who broke her wrist playing pickleball. I have had the most excellent and caring care. Dr O Connelly, his PA Andrew Allen, and DOC OT, have taken me through a severely broken wrist to a speedy recovery. I am just 6 weeks post op and am moving very well. A few more weeks and I will be back at pickleball, hiking, biking, swimming, water all and much more. I am already back at some of it. The kind attention that Andrew Allen gives is amazing. DR. O'Connell has been providing medical assistance for me for over 10 years. I am a paraplegic and wheelchair user and his care and sensitivity to my challenges has been outstanding. I highly recommend Dr. O'Connell without reservation. He is excellent.
My first visit with Stephen O'Connell was a pre-surgical consultation prior to rotator cuff surgery. Dr. O'Connell was very patient, informative, attentive, answered questions that I had beyond my satisfaction. After my initial visit, I knew that I was in good hands for my forthcoming surgery. My surgery was smooth sailing. Dr. O'Connell and Andrew Allen, PA, were excellent with my post-surgery follow up visits and recommendations as to my recovery. Very thorough & up to date on newest procedures.
I had wrist surgery several years ago performed by Dr. O'Connell. I have had no problems since. I wouldn't think of going to anyone else for wrist hand or arm surgery. He's the best!
