Glad to read these reviews and realize I was not alone. Extremely inappropriate man and seems like he is kind of nutty. He said very personal things to me while I was fully exposed. Then soon after that incident as his patient, I encountered him again as a nursing student in a clinical environment. We were at the Athol Hospital ER and he was ranting about some sexual experience. Neither I or the ER staff said anything as he ranted. Weird guy!
I have no issues with his dog walking around the office. I love animals and I find that soothing. Also his staff in the Leominster office is very nice. BUT HIM! He is arrogant and wants to dismiss you as fast as he can. I had issues with him before but as the years passed I had forgot and went back to him. He previously told my husband he had bladder cancer and waited a week to tell him he read the report wrong! 2nd time was no better, his attitude still sucks. Can't ask him a question. This dr hates fat people he spent my 15 minutes with him fat shaming me ,what a loser
After reading the rest of the reviews, I cannot understand why this hack is still allowed to practice. He is rude, condescending, arrogant, impatient, with a major attitude. I swear he loves to inflict pain while doing his procedures. During a family members follow up visit after a biopsy, he said "good news, no cancer". When questioned about a previous positive result, he re- checked the paper work and said, oh yes, there are cancer cells in the urine.!!!! Fantastic Dr. I was in such distress he managed to get me the help i needed.
This doctor was so busy when I went to visit - it was standing room only. I thought I was going to die because I was in so much pain from my kidney stone. But his staff saw me and triaged me into a room right away. I did not wait long at all. And when he saw me and how much pain I was in, he admitted me right away. I cannot stress highly enough how much I CANNOT recommend this doctor. From the very beginning of treating me (for reoccurring cases of acute urinary retention), he was arrogant and brusque and never took me seriously. He insisted my problem was neurological (despite a neurologist disagreeing) and never performed any helpful tests to determine the cause of this problem. BY FAR THE WORST DOCTOR OF ALL TIME. I REALLY BELIEVE THIS DOCTOR IS A DRUG ADDICT OR HAS SOME KIND OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEM. BECAUSE PEOPLE, YET ALONE DOCTORS, JUST DONT ACT LIKE THIS UNLESS THERE IS SOME UNDERLYING PROBLEM. Dr. Karos took the time to fully explain the problem (lodged kidney stone), why non-surgical methods were not appropriate, and exactly what he intended to do to remove the stone. He answered our (mine and spouse) questions completely, in great detail, even taking the time to sketch the proposed surgery. Surgery itself went perfectly, and recovery was precisely as Dr. Karos predicted. We appreciated his thorough professionalism and are grateful for the excellent outcome.
