I contacted Koch Family Medicine to obtain a new pt appointment, completed intake call with office staff providing PMH and current medications. Initially I was told a new pt appt would be 2-3 weeks out, after requesting to be seen sooner due to having a few episodes of irregular heart rate I was given an appt for the next day and told to arrive 20 minutes early to complete paperwork. Dr. Koch is amazing but his staff did two prescriptions wrong. He needs to re-train staff.
Fantastic attention to detail...really cares about the patient and what we're there for!
This physician understands inflammatory billing tactics thru lab blood draws, office visits, and physical therapy as a universal bandage for almost every symptom. Puzzling recommendations such as unrelated specialist evaluations. Physical therapy appears to be an attempted lucrative venue and not appropriate with regard to specific more serious symptoms. Questionable ethical conduct including lack of documentation and lack of appropriate medical care for significant signs and symptoms.
Dr. Koch is kind but refused to refer me to a specialist after a back injury despite me requesting it. He first prescribed PT-minimal help. I asked a 2nd time for a specialist referral but was sent to a pain clinic. Again, no relief for my pain. At the end of my visits there I asked for a referral (from pain doc) to the same specialist, with success. I got it but it was now 12 months later with chronic pain. Could have been avoided if I had gotten the care I needed immediately.
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Koch. I would give him more than 5 stars if I could! Ease of appoints, Treats the entire body. Explains everything. Explores all avenues. Works with the patient. Listens with attention time. Thorough. Kind and patient. He has been my primary care for 30 plus years! I followed him whenever he moved. He's caring. Really listens to you. He spends as much time as necessary and never rushes through an appointment. He also gives you options and tells you about them, along with his recommendations.
Incredible Physician. We have been going to Dr. Koch for the past 13 years and could not be happier. I would encourage anyone reading this webpage to look at the improvements in the ratings as the years have gone by. During earlier years, Dr. Koch was changing his office location multiple times and you could tell that it was taking a toll on him. We absolutely Love Dr. Koch and his staff is very very friendly. They are very helpful and we have NEVER had a problem with the staff, office or Dr. Koch. He has always taken the time to listen to my Mom's needs and has been very patient with her as she explains her health troubles. If it wasn't for Dr. Koch's watchfulness and his excellent medical knowledge my Mom's cancer would of been unnoticed and as it was it was found in stage one and treated without chemo or radiation because of early detection.
