Dr. Brooks informed me that she was only running a pap smear. I recieved my bill and noticed STI tests that I didn't request. I called billing and was informed the Dr. could do tests w/o my consent and was then forwarded to the office where I was at first told that I requested the tests. I denied that as I am in a monogamous relationship, I was later called back and told that as STI testing is recommended for women 18-25 Dr. Brooks felt that I shouldn't be informed of $192 in unneeded tests.
Very displeased with Dr. Brookes' office. Went in late 2013, finally fed up with my crazily inconsistent periods, and was set up to do expensive ultrasound testing (even after insurance). Zero problems with my period after starting birth control in December 2013, but now its Mid-2015 and Dr. Brookes refuses to release my prescription for birth control unless I undergo another ultrasound, despite the fact that the previous one showed no abnormalities and I've had no problems since the start of 2014. Dr. Nathoo removed a very rare cyst from my brain recently. What I have one person in 2 or 3 million have and it is life threatening. It was wonderful having my surgery done here this time instead of driving to Nashville to have it done. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful neurosergeon here in our area!
I have been to 4 different oncologists over a period of 15 years and without a shadow of doubt, Dr Seshadri id the most wonderful sweet,professional and determined oncologist . She is determined to get you well and has already improved my way of life more than I ever hoped for. I recommend her AND her staff and nurses. They are so sweet and always smiling. She is the best!!!!
