I almost died under Dr. Maity’s care. I was admitted with extreme abdominal pain, fever, & poor kidney/liver levels. She decided I had self-induced fatty liver, & despite me & my parents repeatedly telling her I don’t drink, she said I was LYING to my parents, & this was all from a secret drinking problem. Had surgery with my OB/GYN at Summerlin Hospital. Maity seen me the next day in the hospital. She is not my doctor and is not contracted with my insurance. Now I have a bill from her. Why was I seen from her of she is not contracted with my insurance. I went to a hospital that my insurance is contracted with.

Very rude, has terrible bedside manners and has no idea what empathy is. I have no idea why she's a doctor if she has no idea how to treat people or even has the capacity to be able to understand why people go to a hospital.

Dr. Maity's bedside manner is absolutely terrible. She was rude and in a hurry. She did not take the time to answer our questions. Instead of giving us helpful information she chose to tell us she was not god (which was rather obvious to us anyways). She called the wrong relative to give personal information, leaving the one with the medical power of attorney for Mom's healthcare decisions in the dark. If I could give her 0 stars I would.
