She once asked if she could put some of my information shared with her regarding a list of thing I prioritize into her book she was writing. She also said (which I hope now was a bad joke) that some of my experiences would be great book material. I was not with her long but in several sessions spoke more about her life and problems than allowing me to share. Unethical and irresponsible in a several ways. First, initially was seeing her for couples therapy. Not only did she counsel us as a couple but then became our individual therapists. Unbeknownst to us at the time this is highly unusual and unethical. Second, she has no medical license and pushed to be put on antipsychotics which have been an absolute disaster the last 7 years. Talked so much about her own relationships and family that I sometimes felt I could not get a word in. I felt that I knew more about her life than she understood about mine.
After being put off by her weirdly combative attitude over the phone when trying to set up an introductory session, I told her I did not want to seek her services. Since then, she has not stopped contacting me on multiple platforms, including leaving me voicemails where she sounds irritated that she can't reach me, and proceeds to pronounce my name the exact way I told her upsets me. I just want her to leave me alone!
This woman is a horrible therapist. She doesn’t listen. She only talks, mostly about herself and all her accomplishments. Totally unhelpful.
