I have a diagnosis of PTSD now because of this monster. Nerve blocking injections. The local anesthesia didn’t work and I was told there would be 5 shots in total. I couldn’t count past 9. I was strapped to the table and foaming at the mouth and screaming. A nurse tried to step forward to comfort me and he put his hand up for her to step back. No one saved me. He hammered these shots into my spine. Flash forward 5 years and I can’t stay silent. I’m now crippled. My spine is destroyed and I’m losing feeling in my body. Ever s... read more

I had a laryngectomy with free flap repaired esophagus due to radiation damage and cancer. I began to have severe pain in my left hand and forearm from free flap donor site. The radiation not only caused laryngectomy but made any speech prosthetics useless. Dr Hughes accepted this challenge and listened(read) what i scribbled on dry erase board and took care of my pain with meds and back to work I went. About 2 years later, I developed severe of all severes shoulder pain. Again Dr Hughes read everything I had to say and deve... read more

My primary physician wanted me to see a specialist and I found Dr Hughes. I have seen pain specialists off and on for 25 years. I am a recent below the knee amputee(BKA) He gave me a lecture on oral pain medicines. I'm 60 years old with no history of abusing meds. I normally get injections. Which I prefer. But I have nerve pain from losing everything nerves muscle, and tendons. No shots can help this He renewed my Primary Doctor Rx's, no stronger even though I was still suffering. I found someone to replace him. I want a doc... read more

Dr. Hughes is compassionate and caring. He offers several options (non-evasive) for PM and is continually engaged in finding the patients root-cause of their issues. Dr. Hughes approach is directed to the individual and his knowledge of neuroscience is exceptional, thus producing individualized treatment. I satisfied with my experience at their center.

Dr. Hughes is a great doctor and listens to concerns. He explains and tells you risks and benefits. Treats you like a person. His staff is also amazing.

I recently moved here from another state and have previously been in pain management for over six years, with a bunch of different health issues with chronic pain. My very first visit I brought all my CDs, previous notes, reports and scans from my old pain management doctor. He did not care. All he cared about is that I was on an anxiety medicine( super low dose once a day) and sleep medicine. I have been functioning on these medicines with the zero issues for the past 6+ years. He was the most uncompassionate, rude and disr... read more

I felt abandoned by Dr. Hughes in my time of need, when I was explaining my symptoms to Dr. Hughes it felt like he was checked out mentally like he wasn’t actually listening to me, or just didn’t care about my pain. Our communication felt rushed and I left with more questions than answers.
