I nave been a patient of Doctor Kanos for ten years. I have had lower back issues for several years due to degenerative disk disorder, and wreckless activity that resulted in ruptured disks. Doctor Kanos has guided me through everything from cortisone injections, which were effective for seven years, to three disk surgeries in the last two years. Dr. Kanos performed a lumbar discectomy for me. He was very kind, listens, weighs all options before jumping to surgery. Surgery went well. I would recommend Dr. Kanos. I have seen several negative comments regarding the upfront staff. I did not experience any rudeness or shortness. The first scheduled appt I had, I waited 1 hour in the exam room. Following appointments were 10-15 minutes late.
I don't mind having to wait on Dr. Degarmo. I figure if he's spending the time with another patient, he is also willing to spend the time with me. I don't just want the Doc in a Box experience. He's been my doctor for over 12 years now. I wouldn't go to anyone else.
Dr. Kanos is very caring and very knowledgeable. That is evident after you have bee worth him for five minutes! Best neorosurgeon in the Upstate!
Dr. Kanos is an amazing doctor. He is very precise and caring. I had brain surgery in July 2014 and my vision was fully restored. Dr. Kanos is very caring and cares for his patients. If it weren't for him I would be blind in my right eye. I thank God for this man.
Dr. Kaminer is actually a colleague of mine in the Palmetto Health network and I was completely taken aback by her horrible bedside manner. She was rude, condescending, and abrasive and I would not recommend her to anyone! I am completely embarrassed for her and feel that if her compassion for her pediatric patients, and the parents, is gone than it is clearly time to retire. Best doctor ever! Skilled, kind, Christian man. Treats everyone in my family and is always caring and supportive.
The line between alternative and current medication topics are not one she wishest draw, requires pushing to get things done, we have a complex medical history as well and there is just not enough throughness for my liking. I drew the line when I saw her face and the fact I used cloth diapers.
dr. song strikes a great balance between being caring and being strict. my daughter loves going to see her, and there seems to be mutual respect in her interactions with kids. i've seen other doctors at this practice, but prefer the candidness (and clever humor) of dr. song.
