Very empathic but direct and sets appropriate limits. Prides herself in prescribing only after a thorough diagnosis is reached by her. Conservative but appropriate in her prescribing, especially of controlled substances. I trust her implicitly. She is an independent thinker who values input from other consultants when appropriate. As a prescriber she is not at all a risk taker. She prefers to follow treatment guidelines in her practice. Her treatment philosophy is very solid.

Dr. Varma comes across as nice and helpful, but it's a scam. You'll be charged more than double than any other psychiatrist in the area and she won't even prescribe a month worth of meds, so you have to keep coming back more often. Gaslit me about world events that were stressing me out and wanted me to get a lot of expensive testing done. Ended up very badly and felt like just another paycheck. Wish I had my money back!

Very professional. Like the quiet atmosphere. Doesn't feel like a clinic. The staff is very friendly. Also I was able to get in quick (only 8 days to wait).

I go to several doctors for various health problems. But I get frustrated because they don't seem to communicate so I have to get things coordinated. I have to always ask my endocrinologist to send my lab results to my primary and my primary never tells my endocrinologist when they change my meds. Dr Varma is the first doctor I have been to who asked for my records from my other doctors and then communicated her plans with them. I really feel like she is on top of what is going on with me.

Dr Varma is an excellent psychiatrist. She’s professional and knows her general medicine and psychiatric medications very well. She is friendly and helpful. She’s an excellent diagnostician. She doesn’t have prescribe unless it’s indicated and necessary. I recommend her highly.

I have been to a few psychiatrists and therapists in my life to help me with my depression. I have had mixed results. I was starting to get worse and decided it was time to see a new doctor. Dr. Varma was refreshing because she seemed to have a solid plan to make me feel better. After only a few visits I was feeling better and she actually explained the meds I was on and why. I contacted Dr. Varma's office to schedule an appointment. The receptionist was super helpful and had a great vibe. She was able to schedule me within a week. My contact with the office has been great and they are always there to assist.

I was relieved to get an appointment so quickly with Dr Varma. It only took a week to get in and when I got there I met with Dr Varma almost immediately after only some basic paperwork. It was a very different experience than at a lot of other doctors offices I have been to. I like that she had a concrete plan for me to get better. I have been disappointed with other doctors who seem to only ask a few questions then throw a prescription at me and send me on my way. My son has a therapist who recommend he see a prescribing doctor for an SSRI. Dr. Varna spoke with him and prescribed an 8 day supply of an SSRI. She then required weekly $1,000 consultations to continue the medication, putting us in a huge bind. She also strongly suggested she do a $5,900 nueropsyche evaluation. Dr. Varna is taking advantage of families and the Mental health crisis. Not Moral.
