Nothing but good things to say. Dr. Varma is bright, thorough, and a very good teacher of good mental health practices. I’m 57 years old and she has been the first doctor to show a genuine concern for my personal and psychiatric health. Dr Varma is a wonderful, compassionate, educational physician whom I depend on for my mental well being. She has literally saved my life. I want a psychiatrist who helps me cope with and overcome my issues and Dr. Varma excels at this. Her staff is fantastic, and easily reachable, and I have total and complete trust in her. All I know is that if it wasn't for this wonderful woman I would not be here right now. Dr. Varma is as good as they come. An A rating from me.
I was so happy to find Dr Varma. She called back right away, it was easy to schedule an appointment, always returns my calls promptly. She is easy to talk to, definitely knows whats she is doing, is conservative with medications but got me on the meds that definitely helped me. And she doesn't only prescribe meds like many others, but helped me sort through my stressful life situations and gave me guidance with my child's issues. I don't feel rushed in the visits.

Dr. Varma is a very competent psychiatrist who thinks about her patients in their totality. She doesn’t jump to conclusions. She reaches diagnostic conclusions after thoroughly analyzing physical, psychological, social and medication-induced causes of a person’s complaints. My Varma visit felt like a scam. She advertises neurodivergent diagnoses, and her nurse scheduler told me my visit could be handled in one day. The doctor would be able to tell me what was wrong. I was clear when I called her that I had ASD of some level. I was naive, I know. It's new territory for me. I paid $500 for my intake visit. The doctor took notes for 39 minutes and then told me that I have the traits and for $5,000 MORE, she would give me a diagnosis. Dr. Varma is very empathetic and listens to your concerns. She truly wants to improve your mental health. Her office is also very welcoming. She's also good at filling out paperwork and prescriptions in a timely manner. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Once I was under her care I felt that she really went out of her way to do everything she could to help me - has been in touch with my therapist, even called my primary care doctor, I was very impressed by the thorough approach.
Dr Varma got us in the next day. She really helped my daughter's depression, ADHD, and anxiety and worked with the school to get her assistance there as well. She got information from her other physicians and therapist. I really like that Dr Varma has evening hours so we don't miss volleyball, dance, or school. She is easy to reach outside of appointment times by email and phone. I am glad we made this decision to see her. My child is more back to her normal self, but she is still a teenager!
Dr. Varma is a very detail-oriented doctor and really cares about her patients. She really takes the time to understand the patients needs and develop a care plan.
