I am not usually one to write reviews good or bad. However, this office could not be overlooked. First appt chit chat and check gums, wanted me to go to the periodontist he recommended. I did not go. 2nd visit took X-rays twice? (With not the newest machine.) He looked at them and pointed out all the bad spots. Hygienist did not clean teeth, said I needed to go to periodontist, I could be considered a liability. Dentist said I had all my wisdom teeth, I did not. The doctor here is excellent. However, the front desk staff needs improvement. They scheduled my appointment but did not provide the correct information. No one called me with an estimate for my crown, so when I arrived at the office, I had no idea how much I would be paying. I was given the price on the spot, which was frustrating. Not coming back here anymore.
Dr. Shahram Modarres is an exceptional dentist. My family and I have been seeing him for many years, and we continue to drive more than an hour just to come to his office—that alone says everything. He is incredibly skilled, honest, gentle, and truly cares about his patients. He takes the time to explain things clearly and always makes us feel comfortable and confident in our care. We trust him completely. As an example, he just took my call on a Saturday morning, came to his office for an urgent issue. Highly recommended.
I went to this dentist so you won’t have to. The doctor who did my cleaning was a great lady. The problem is the women at the front desk. They will make you sign paperwork without explaining anything and they will pressure you into scheduling another appointment. They tell people “Sign this, it’s basically about what you’re going to be doing” which is not true. Ask them to read everything out loud and explain it before you sign.
