If I could, I'd give this guy a -0. He put me on Latuda for anxiety/OCD telling me how great the medication was, how he gave talks about it. After 6 months of taking this med, I went to Ivins and told him I was experiencing weird leg and butt movements. His eyes glazed over and he told me it was stress. The condition got worse and moved to my feet, toes and hands. I went back to him monthly complaining of these symptoms and each time he told me it was stress-related. I thought I was going crazy. I would not recommend this doctor. Very unprofessional! He was not speaking to you as a doctor or using a doctor profession he was speaking to you like a kid on the street cursing! His staff (Tammy) in particularly one of them are very ignorant with a low class of intelligence! For a doctor was so many years of experience I would hire better people and show some class. I don't know how he keeps his practice!
Dr. Ivins has been the primary care physician for me and my wife for many years and we have always been happy with his care, knowledge, and manners (and those of his staff as well). In this age of the internet, when WebMD will give you plenty of serious disease ideas for your common symptoms, Dr. Ivins is a welcome voice of reason.
Dr. Ivins is an extremely rude and obnoxious. He fancies himself as a Psychiatric genius which he quite often reminds you. It seems to me he has esteem issues and is very insecure. He also gives me the impression that he tries very hard to impart on you that he's more of what he wants to be then he actually is. He will explode if you do not agree with him. Dr. Ivins himself is a WONDERFUL PHYSICIAN and is very knowledgeable within his field. Every experience I have had with HIM has been fine. That being said the women, mostly one young lady, that sits behind the glass at the desk is very rude! Every time I or any patient have been there they seem annoyed with you, as well they have talked inappropriately about other patients if they just called or just left the office.
