My 88 year old father had his 2nd appointment with West County Ophthalmology at the Winghaven location, the 1st appointment was a year ago with Dr. Sagett and he was 2 hours late seeing him. His excuse was lame we should of known better to go back! My parents sat there again for 2 hours on January 10, 2019 and was given the same lame excuse! Staff is consistently rude and/or disinterested, Doctor is consistently late, upwards of 1.5 hours, and has poor bedside manner. I just fired them after yet another terrible experience with desk staff and rescheduled with a new doctor at a more professional establishment. This is my first negative review of an MD or his office, it's just that bad.
Have always had a LONG wait but yesterday he was 40 minutes late before we were taken to a room and 2 people were still ahead of us! We left, our time is important too. They have a sign "if you are 15 minutes late you will be asked to reschedule" What about the patient?
I have some difficulties because of an autoimmune disease. Dr Sagett was incredibly patient and took plent of time explaining things and providing prescription drops. I recommend him to everyone. Not every Dr works for everyone. But he def works for us
I was third in line to sign in and was amazed. All three of us were seeing Dr. Sagett at 2 o'clock. Nobody saw him until a daughter of another elderly patient went down the hall and said, "Is there a doctor in the house?" I saw him for 5 minutes. I left the office at 3:55. It had the most unfriendly support staff I have ever encountered. Not a single staff person was even pleasant I am sorry I came in and expected medical care. I hate my insurance $ to support such poor medicine.
Kept me waiting 30 minutes I suggested he apologize and he did not seem to care.. office culture seems production oriented and not so much customer centered
Dr. Sagett is very personable. I have never felt rushed during an office visit and he answers all of my questions thoroughly. Definitely recommend!
He had a technician find my new prescription power, and only came in at the end to do one quick test. I'm coming from a different doctor, and I asked for a contact prescription. He refused to do the eye shape measurements because he just wanted to use the old prescription's. He insisted on this because he didn't want to waste time. Instead, this wasted my time because I had to come back to the office to give the prescription and get my new trial contacts. Don't see this man.
