He makes you feel very comfortable even though you have Prostrate Cancer. He helps you feel that you are in good hands as he explains treatman plans at Ackerman Cancer Center. Then, his staff follows through with painless Proton Therapy that is carefully controlled and monitored throughout the entire process. You feel treatment success is just ahead as you finish your cancer treatment. 5 out of 5 stars to Ackerman Cancer Center and Dr. Ackerman.
Ackerman Cancer Center The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are a complete care facility including a dietician and social workers, and have 8 MDs and 2 FNP-BCs on staff. I have been treated here twice, 2004 for testicular cancer and just finished the program for prostate cancer. In addition, Dr. Ackerman has Ackerman Urology Center nearby (for both sexes) which is where I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I highly recommend both facilities.

We feel very blessed to have been referred to Ackerman Cancer Center. From the very first phone call their attentiveness and concern for making us comfortable with the entire process was very evident. I cannot say enough kind words about Dr Ackerman and his staff. They are very professional, comforting and compassionate. I appreciated the candid conversations we had about what was coming down the line in treatment and how they responded to the issues. It was not an easy road however, my family and I never felt like we were left alone.
The doctors, proton radiation technicians and other staff (dietician, social worker) work together to place one at ease, reassured treatment will work, is working, and competency and care prevail. What began as an exercise in anxiety evolved into an experience of awe and real hope of recovery. Hard to say enough good things about the Ackerman Group. Don Johnson 11/15/19 through 1/18/20.

I was treated at Ackerman Cancer Center and could not be more pleased. Dr. Scot Ackerman and the entire staff are great people and highly qualified. Everyone of the doctors, nurses, technicians and support staff treat you like family and are very professional, respectful and caring.
If you want "Service With a Smile", then go to the Ackerman Cancer Center for treatment. Dr. Ackerman is an expert in the field and very personable. ALL of his staff are friendly, competent, caring and highly supportive of patients as they traverse through their process of cancer treatments. They get at big "Thumbs Up" from me.
