Well, I asked for a recommend for an oral surgeon who accepts Medi-Cal. Dr. Rust was recommended. So I called to make an appointment for my grandson who lives in the Eureka area. Guess what! He won't take anyone from that area! Even though he is going to be living with me in Red Bluff. The receptionist was kind of a bi__h. When I told here he was going to be living with me, she said "Well, you already told me he lives in Eureka. So I have to say no."
He does really great work but the prices are out of sight for the average poor sufferer. He charged my daughter (a Shasta College student) full price $500 to remove a wisdom tooth (no complications, stitches, etc. She doesn’t have $$ now to cover rent. He wouldn’t accept less, and he wouldn’t let us make 2 payments - although we’ve had other teeth pulled by him. Very sad how much doctors and dentists charge. There should be laws regulating these costs.
