Dr. Roy was the assigned anesthesiologist for a procedure. He began his introduction by criticizing the ordering doctor's choice of procedure and sedation and ending his talk by telling me to "stop talking" and to not "be emotional." In a very stressful situation, Dr. Roy was condescending and lacked compassion. He was replaced as the anesthesiologist before the procedure began.
Dr. Ivy was very personable. He had great communication and was very thorough. He was exactly what you want when you are in need of someone with his expertise. He has vast experience, but still made sure everything was understood and I was comfortable with that understanding. It was great to have him as my anesthesiologist.
