It was my first visit to your office and I was extremely satisfied with all aspects of my visit.
I met Dr. Benitez for a consult about a vascular condition. First, he was 90 mins late. Second, he made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. More importantly, he was just plain rude the entire time. Dismissive and obnoxious. I left the appointment positive I wanted nothing to do with him.
My mother was unfortunately a patient of his. Benitez was arrogant and frankly rude with me and my mother. He tried treating my mother's stroke with some new technique he learned and it was a terrible outcome. We went for follow up treatment at UPenn and their experts saw his treatment and explained how his technical skills were not up to par. Sadly, my mother passed away last month. Dr. Benitez advocated to expedite our son's placement of an RNS device to treat epilepsy. For two years, he patiently explained the details of the needed procedures while he evenly more patiently answered our plethora of questions. His warmth, his individualized concern, his sense of humor, and his approachability matched his extreme level of expertise. His staff was equally kind, attentive, and efficient. We will always be thankful that Dr. Benitez was our son's brain surgeon!
Dr. Benitez is the #1 brain surgeon. He did excellent operation after my stroke to save my life.
Dr. Benitez and his team did such a great job at the Overlook medical center! Not only did he check up on me every single day post op, he made sure all my needs were met! He and Dr Lin ent took a pituitary tumor out of my brain. They did a great job explaining everything in detail of how the procedure would be done, and which complications could arise. They all took amazing care of me, to the point that even the nursing staff made me feel like i was family!!! I am SO VERY THANKFUL
He is an arrogant jerk with terrible bedside manner. My headaches are worse after his procedure. He has terrible patient outcomes. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Dr. Benitez is a brilliant doctor and neurovascular surgeon, who takes his time with his patients, honestly answers all questions, and clearly explains all procedures, etc. The surgeries he performs are amazing to say the least! He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease, in otherwise, difficult & scary circumstances. We are forever grateful to him for his surgical expertise and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of neurosurgery. He is truly "the best!"
The 'undoctor experience'- unlike most doctors that keep you waiting, and could care less about your time, this office was outstanding from top to botttom! I was greeted pleasantly by his staff, and was actually taken back before my appointed time. Dr. Benitez was extremely cordial and helpful with my condition. I did not feel rushed at all, and had all of my questions answered. I AM ALSO A DOCTOR WHO IS COGNIZANT ABOUT HIS PATIENT'S TIME AND IS REFRESHING TO HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE
