Dr. Solow saved my teeth. He's an A+ dentist--kind, informative, highly intelligent, dedicated, and honest. His wife, Linda keeps the office humming, with lots of calls to remind me of upcoming appointments (I need that...). What's most important: I am living proof that Dr. Solow's exceptional skills have literally saved my teeth. I always took very careful care of my teeth and gums, visited dentists every six months (expensive ones in DC and Manhattan) but still suffered cavities, even cracked teeth. Roger is a great, perfectionist practitioner, and a walking encyclopedia of dental treatment knowledge. The office is comfortable and ultra-clean, not ostentatious, and the entire staff treats you like family and friends. Roger does not rush things, and takes the time to explain all, and I mean all, of the options and outcomes. AMAZING DENTIST!!!! Finally found a great dentist after years of searching. He address tooth alignment for proper bite and eliminated rubbing. My teeth have never felt or looked so good. Also recommended Sonicare, I will never go back to a regular toothbrush. His Hygenist is also amazing. Well worth going out of plan to see Dr. Solow. to bad I am moving to NYC and can't take him with me.
As a senior lady, I have been in a dental chair all my life for many procedures, so feel I can evaluate Roger Solow with all this experience. When it is time to "go to the Dentist", I never give it any thought re pain or problems. Roger Solow is the VERY BEST Dentist you could EVER find. He is gentle, explains procedures thoroughly. Very good! One thing I like about him is that he likes to keep it real. I asked him if I needed orthotics (wanted his opinion even though he is a dentist) and he answered me very logically in explaining that although my teeth were not perfectly straight, they functioned quite well and function matters more than aesthetics. Most dentists I have told me I needed them and seemed eager to jump the gun... but Solow is good and likes to keep it real. Came to see Dr. Solow after my husband insisted I switch dentists. I've gotten wonderful care. Dr. Solow is extremely precise, caring and careful. The whole office is kind and they teach you how to care for and preserve your teeth and gums. Years of deep pockets have now disappeared completely. Often refer to Dr. Solow. Highly recommended.
Best dentist EVER. He & his staff are so kind & so professional. So caring- they try to make it a good experience. Also he is very trustworthy & conservative about treatment - will never talk you into work you don't need. He used to teach dental school & is up on all the latest techniques. Hygenists are also really, really nice. Cost for routine stuff like cleanings is a little more than average (still reasonable), but for major work it's about average. Dr. Solow"s is the only dental chair I have ever been able to feel entirely relaxed in. I am often surprised to find myself daydreamig as he is drilling a tooth. It is brcause he is so knowledgeable and gentle, and carefully explains what he is doing is or about to do as he goes along.
