Takes times. Explains the procedure that he's going to perform will come in on his off hours if you ask for him. Not only is he the best neurosurgeon and neurologist in 63 years, he is a kind, caring, personable, compassionate, professional intelligent and educated man. The kind of man I raised my boys to be. Makes me want to call him "son." God bless him and his family. He pulled me through from a very painful and confused state, (12 hr surgery, 2 days,. Thank you, Dr. Rodas. Elizabeth Thompson

He almost killed me. He misdiagnosed me for 9 years. I was previously diagnosed with Hydrocephalus. He also sent me to another doctor for a second opinion they also thought it my shunt had failed. He told me nothing was wrong with me and I needed to see a neurologist, and not a surgeon. I had seen him for 9 years. He only said this once I started having problems. My emergency room surgeon said there was so much pressure in my head that spinal fluid shot across the operating room.

Business response:

As surgeons we try our best to care for our patients. Sometimes it takes a team of doctors to manage a patient with all experiences combined to offer the best results.

Dr. Rodas is not only a great doctor but he cares about his patients. My surgery was 5 weeks ago done at Flagler Hospital in St Augustine. I am sure he saved me from becoming paralyzed during my life. I am so thankful I found Dr. Rodas.

I tried to see thus Doctor three weeks in a row and never could see him due to ER emergencies at Flagler Hospital after I arrived and waited an hour. A real waste of my time, energy and gas. Once ok, twice maybe but three times, you are out! Shameful way to treat someone in pain.

Business response:

Thank you for your feedback and we will try better. There is a difference between a primary doctor and a surgeon. As a specialist surgeon who is on call for emergencies we are called away from our medical office often. Primary doctors practice very differently and their focus is more office based.

Dr Rodas saw my husband for emergency surgery for the removal of a glioblastioma. He came into the room and showed us the MRI pictures. And explained every step and what the outcome will most likely be barring complications. He is very kind and has excellent bedside manner and will sit and listen to your questions and answer them very honestly. I'm very impressed at his wonderful bedside manner. My husband had the craniotomy and walked out of the hospital less than a week later.
